Pat Riley, famous coach of the NBA, gave some innovative ways that his team could improve their performance. After failing to win the championship in 1985 he selected five areas of performance that had cost his team the championship the previous year. He challenged each player to improve one percentage point in each of the five areas. They were not to attempt 5 or 10 percent - just one sustainible percent in the five areas.
He concluded that one percent improvement in five areas for twelve players would give them a 60% increment of improvement. Imagine those kinds of results in your church.
